This is distinct from "feeling guilt", which is how white people take the racism we perpetuate and make it all about us. The insistence on not feeling discomfort generally is another form of white entitlement. I know Robin DiAngelo is not universally admired, but frankly "white fragility" is a concept that causes spectacular amounts of white discomfort, which is why I admire her for making it visible in a way that can't be put back in the box.
