Indeed. Canada has mandatory retirement at least for Supreme Court Justices at age 75.

As far as the workplace goes, of course, people need to be able to deal with the technology. I guess. There are other qualities that an older generation can bring to the table. Experience? Wisdom? Although I agree with much of what you say, I find your impatience offensive and verging on ageism, if not actually crossing the line.

I'll be 65 next week, by the way.

As for Nancy Pelosi - that is maddening about the hair salon debacle. It's ludicrous to claim she "didn't know the rules." It seems more like entitlement.

As poor as that was, it doesn't negate her real achievements and I hesitate to badmouth a woman who has reached the top in a cutthroat "man's world". Hindsight is 20/20. She delayed the impeachment so as to have public opinion on her side. She estimated wrongly. In fact, it was a poor choice to proceed anyway, as it must have been obvious that the Senate would simply negate the whole thing as long as the odious McConnell was in charge, thereby allowing Trump to claim a witch hunt by crazy Liberals.

The real question, as you say, is why he wasn't removed from office as soon as his criminal behaviour (e.g. his "charity") and his history of sexual assault came to light.

Anyway, try not to bury us before we're totally dead, will you, dear?
