Thank you.

The author's impatience with the non-technologically adept—and her assumption that 1. this is always older people and 2. it represents mental deterioration, is most offensive.

It's also hilarious in view of the fact that I spend much of my time helping 20-somethings with their computer problems ("what's my password?" is a particular favorite).

And the world moving a little slower and magisterial speeches sound just fine to me, at least occasionally. Like a treat, you know?

I'm just shy of sixty-five. It would be something I felt better about if anyone actually thought that my experience was of any value. But maybe I'll just enjoy watching them find out stuff for themselves.
