This isn't even war, it's terrorism on a vast scale. I forced myself to read your article, because of the graphic descriptions it was hard. I have a near phobia of ruined bodies, the agony and the horror of flesh reduced to pulp, limbs torn away. But I had to read it to remind myself that "war" is not an abstract idea. It is calculated murder. That this assault on innocent civilians can take place in this century is beyond comprehension.
I don't know how you and other emergency doctors do it, I don't know how you survive psychologically. You seem almost superhuman in your bravery and ability to work with these shattered bodies and lives in a situation devoid of hope. Thank you is a pitifully inadequate expression, but it's all I have.
