Well said, well enough to make a boy rake through the last sixty days of interactions, one gmail at a time.

Maybe there’s a bit of pigeon, a bit of pigeon-kicker in all of us. Drama can be a potently attractive way of organizing one’s time. After all, what would one do when one is alone, if nursing one’s self-inflicted wounds is no longer an option?

I recommend listening to the late Beethoven string quartets; they are the only really viable alternative to blissful silence and gratitude.
