Wow. I had no idea the the forward leap of one hour could have so much negative impact. But the scientific data you quote has convinced me.

When I was young - I believe this was Jurassic Era, but not sure, memory sucks - I was made to go to bed at the same time, year round. This meant that, in high summer, I was in bed at 7PM. It was still freaking broad daylight outside.

If I could follow all the suggestions in your list for super sleep, I'd already be a superhero. You mean it's not optimal to make a big mug of espresso at midnight and work on something until 4 AM?
