You sound like a reasonable person, what I don't get then is your comment that "masks are not sufficiently effective..."
Are you a medical professional? Because your opinion is not actual information, and this is the problem. You've just somehow unilaterally decided that masks are probably not effective, but the data tell us differently.
Have a look at this article in the JAMA, and its table showing very good efficacy of mask wearing, above and beyond other measures.

It also makes the point that mask-wearing depends on the widespread adoption of the policy, and the willingness of citizens to comply in a spirit of helping others.
I'm sure you meant no harm, and I commend your positive stance on vaccination, but please be more careful and don't offer opinions and pretend they're facts. There's too much of that going on.
